An ensemble of the finest musicians offering class, quality and versatility

Large Symphonic Brass

This nineteen part group produces a monumental and hugely diverse palette of sound, as remarked upon in the Evening Standard – “an extraordinary diverse range of tone colour… You will even swear you hear clarinets, strings, even the human voice”.

Eric Crees is widely regarded as the foremost pioneer in this, the apotheosis of the brass ensemble. His arrangements of Bach, Bernstein, Copland, Gabrieli, Liszt, Nielsen, Rimsky-Korsakov, Walton and many more are staples of brass ensemble concerts and recordings the world over. They have been performed and recorded by the greatest orchestras, including the Chicago Symphony, the Philadelphia, the London Symphony Orchestra and The Orchestra of The Royal Opera House.

This magnificent line-up is ideal for large scale ceremonial occasions, concerts in large symphonic halls and cathedrals and would be an inspirational ensemble for film and commercial composers.

In addition to our ensemble’s dedicated repertoire, Eric has devised a non-stop concert, featuring the spectacular antiphonal and multi-brass choir music of Giovanni Gabrieli and his Venetian contemporaries - perfect for music festivals using large churches and cathedrals.
